By definition when the Sun enters the Cardinal Sign of Cancer that is the Summer Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere. It is the longest day and shortest night. It’s the beginning of the Traditional Time of Ceremony for the First Nations People of the Upper Plains in the U.S. There are Sun Dances and other ceremonies going on all in and around the Sacred Black Hills, the Heart of All That Is. Please join us as we offer our prayers for ourselves and for All Our Relations.
Humanity is now dreaming a new dream, further activated by the recent Grand Water Trine anchored by Neptune in Pisces. A wonderful New Day is indeed dawning. Don’t let the temporary chaos bring you down. “Don’t let it bring you down, It’s only castles burning…”

Yes, we’re in the heart of Venus opposing Pluto and squaring Uranus!….This series of Cardinal T-squares we’ve entered that will last through August is testing whether our sense of proportion or perspective is healthy and balanced (or not), our ability to judge fairly and reasonably, our ability to moderate sources of friction, our ability to be a peacemaker within and without, and our ability to spot superficiality or extreme positions and not get into conflict. It’s the Aquarius decan of Libra, so the sub-theme is to see a bigger balanced picture, to synthesize many different pulses into a harmonious motion, and be as altruistic as possible in our interactions……
…..Venus now gives its own touch of class, beauty, reflection, and interaction to those energies, and will add the theme of “healthy stimulation through play and joy” in our interactions, creativity, relaxation, even if it also lends an air of unreality and fantasy as well. Of course, Venus also rules our interactions with others, and so there could be friction in situations where we’re being confronted by rude people, or those who are out of balance.
Venus opposed Pluto cautions us to be moderate and act on our values when we are around corrosive, dishonest, or obsessive people. This is where if you can’t seem to get results, or find yourself diverted into weird or extreme places that deflect from your original intention, you may need to detach from someone who is draining your energy.
This is testing our ability to see what is true and what is a lie, whether in our understanding or via some relationship, no matter how casual or tight. And it’s probably a good thing to evaluate everything that’s come down the past few days with an eye to finding a newer, more harmonious way of moving through the current currents of the Grand Water Trines….

From Main Street at the Gap take Jackson Boulevard south to Canyon Lake Drive. Look for the Common Cents Convenience Store. Turn right onto Canyon Lake Drive. Go five short blocks, one street past Minnekahta. Turn right into Woodbine, and ours is the second house on the right – 4105. Our street is a half block long with no through exit.
