The Recent Full Moon of Libra October 2016

Libra Full Moon Festival

We choose the way which leads between the two great lines of force.

Equity and equilibrium are qualities brought about through the Light of Libra. We can now reach further balance towards achieving increased soul infusion through the application of Wisdom – knowledge gained through experience and implemented with love. This practice describes the narrow, razor-edged path between the pairs of opposites, associated with Libra.

Libra is the point of balance in the zodiac, the place where neither spirit nor matter dominates. During this unfolding lunar cycle culminating at the Full Moon of Libra-Aries, we may develop the practice of choosing the Way which leads between the two great lines of force, allowing the scales of justice to come into balance.

Presently, a potential is being enlivened and seeds of consciousness are forming deep within. We are called now to assist in the Spiritual Hierarchy‘s task of setting an example for humanity – acting “as if” we are members of the Spiritual Kingdom, to which we aspire.

Please connect with the group soul this Full Moon and after no matter where you are physically on the planet. Get together with friends and family. You will be glad that you did. You may say that we Librans are dreamers, but we are not the only ones.

It is very important to remember that the Full Moon is a GLOBAL EVENT which affects the entire planet. Let us link up with the thousands of people who are celebrating this Full Moon and affirm that the Evolution/Revolution has started. It must be PEACEFUL! We believe that Libra knows that there is no Peace without Justice. And there is no Justice without Peace.  This includes economic, social, and political fairness. The current unrest that continues all over the globe invokes the need for global transformation. The Sun at the Full Moon was opposing Uranus and squaring Pluto. The Moon in Aries was conjunct Uranus.  All of this is very volatile, to say the least. Time has run out for the Plutocracy that has held a stranglehold on the masses for way too long. It is a fresh wind that blows against the Empire. But the Sun in Libra emphasizes that we must follow Libra Mahatma  Gandhi’s teachings on Satyagraha. We must speak truth to power and be strong but non-violent.

In the midst of all the craziness please remember to breathe and know that the Planetary Elders are in charge. Now is a very good time to unplug from the negative news and find the calm center within each of us. There is a plan. It is Light and Love. It is working out – sealing the door where evil dwells. Light and Love and Power are restoring the plan on Earth. So mote it be. And so it is.

Northern Colorado Full Moon Group March 19, 2016, 6:00 pm

Aries.5

This month we will celebrate the FULL MOON OF ARIES on Saturday, March 19th at 6:00 pm at our home, 1805 West 10th Street, Loveland, CO. It will be a potluck. Bring a friend. All are welcome. Don’t forget to connect with the group soul this Full Moon no matter where you are physically on the planet. Get together with friends and family. It is especially important that we all do this now that The Shift of the Ages is in full gear.

Also, we will talk about OESTARA eggs and other ancient fertility spring rites. This is the Festival of Easter, the first of the three annual major festivals. Remember that the natural year starts on the Spring Equinox, which happens also on March 19th this year. The Spring Equinox is when the Sun enters the sign of Aries. So four days later we are having the Full Moon of Aries. The actual time of this Full Moon is on Wednesday March 23, at 6:01 a.m. Mountain Daylight Time. So Sunday March 20, 2016 is Palm Sunday and Sunday March 27, 2016 is Easter Sunday. Aries.2We just had a very significant New Moon Solar Eclipse on March 8, 2016. Please check out the series of articles on this by astrologer extraordinaire Robert Wilkinson starting here:

New Moon Solar Eclipse

Eclipses always come in at least pairs, so now we are moving to the following Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Aries.

Finally, here is the monthly information from the good people at www.SouledOut.org:

2016 Meditation Theme ~ Aries

 Cosmically Aligned, We Embrace
The Eternal Rhythm of the Ages,
The Rhythm of the Sages

Our meditation focus for the Aries 2016 cycle continues to utilize this keynote. Throughout the coming year, we’ll be exploring Cosmic Freedom in attunement to the Rhythm of the Ages and Sages.

Each year, our journey as One renews the expression of our awareness of the cyclic zodiacal energies through identification with the Divine ~ presently via the Monad, our highest aspect.

Our Monadic essence joins with the planetary Hierarchy to approach Shamballa. There is a broadening of inclusiveness, as the connection of Heart and Head is emphasized.

Building of the bridge between lower and higher mind is ” … the first step towards achieving monadic consciousness, and thus the first step towards the Way of the Higher Evolution.” (2)

Moving through Aries, our united efforts bring us ever closer to our Divine Destiny, relating humanity and the earth to greater beings and cycles beyond our planetary experience.

Aries is, as might be expected, closely connected with the Great Bear but peculiarly so with one of the stars called The Pointers; these point to the Pole star which is at this time a major “star of direction.” Direction, will, purpose and plan are all connected with the solar Logos and with His evolutionary undertakings in connection with the many lives manifesting in the vehicle of expression which we call the solar system. All these respond to the influences of the first ray which is, to all intents and purposes, the energy of divine embodied will, which has been esoterically described as “unavoidable directed purpose.” (1)

Direction and Purpose are expressions of the Will aspect, exemplified in Aries as this quality initiates the new yearly cycle. The Principle of Decision guides our choices and actions, offering an opportunity to advance goodwill and right human relations.

As aspirants and disciples, we now consciously realign with the Divine Plan ~ the unfolding Purpose of the One Life. Through embodiment of the Principle of Decision, we then become steadier in our service expression.

Electric fire manifests as Unity of Spirit and expresses the Will aspect of deity.

As Watchers of the Dawn we Light workers are called to wield the incoming forces by aligning with and directing the inflow of energies to reveal the Synthesis of Life Itself. All are valuable in this endeavor.

Calling upon the available Will during the Aries cycle, there is opportunity for Clarity leading to Freedom as we determine to overcome all that dilutes the highest expression of Life in our shared experiences.

 We Rise
We Know
We Serve

Northern Colorado Full Moon Group Saturday February 20, 2016

The Northern Colorado Full Moon Group will meet at our home, 1805 W 10th Street, Loveland, CO on Saturday February 20, 2016 at 6:00 pm. It is a potluck. The actual Full Moon will occur at 11:20 am Mountain Standard Time Monday February 22, 2016.

This is the Full Moon of Pisces/Virgo:

2016 Pisces Meditation Theme

Cosmically Aligned, We Embrace
The Eternal Rhythm of the Ages,
The Rhythm of the Sages

Rounding out this year’s meditation focus on our Cosmic Freedom Inaugurates Planetary Liberation theme now, in Pisces, we gain further alignment to the Divine Purpose and Plan.

This particular new moon, the second following the winter solstice, heralds a fertile time each annual cycle. It is widely known as as Chinese New Year, also as Losar in the Tibetan Calendar.

In Christianity, this new moon commences the season of Lent, the annual cycle of cleansing for renewal.

This cycle’s full moon culminating the Pisces lunar cycle is soon after the zodiacal sign of Pisces commences, on Friday, February 19. This auspiciously coincides as the Sun joins in alignment with Fomalhaut, one of the Royal Stars that indicates Direction, from Earth’s perspective.

In the Hindu tradition, this lunar cycle ends with the holy festival of Maha Shivarati, this year on Monday, March 7.

Shivaratri, the cosmic merger of Shiva and Shakti, is celebrated on the dark moon of Magha. Shiva means higher consciousness and ratri means night, referring to the “dark night of the soul”, the state just before illumination. So Shivaratri is a symbol of the spiritual state of samadhi.

Shiva is the eternal faculty of awareness, the unchanging, unmoving spark of the divine in each of us. Shakti gives us the mind and body that are our tools for the direct perception of this divine awareness. The union of Shiva and Shakti is the primordial symbol of eternal communion with the divine. Here there is neither purity nor impurity, neither affirmation nor denial, neither form nor formlessness, but a state of superconscious being that is beyond all duality.

Satyananda Saraswati

Pisces, the sign representative of the World Savior, is similarly associated with the nature of Sacrifice. In consummation, another attribute of Pisces, we may eventually evolve Sacrifice into Bliss.

Bliss, we’re told by Alice Bailey, is the pure nature of Spirit and may be comprehended only upon the soul’s realization of oneness with divine essence, on the level of mind ~ following its at-onement with the personal self. (1)

The Bliss of Sacrifice is applied not just in the surrender of the lower self to reveal the higher. The bliss referred to is a profound effect of service, calling moreover for the “… death of that which is higher in the order and scale of being, in order to release that which is lower.” (2)

When the separated self comes to understand itself as a part of a greater life, we become willing to sacrifice ourselves for the good of the whole. We become strong enough to subordinate the self, the part, the fragment of the totality of life. Finally, the hero-soul realizes that there is in reality no separation at all, but one pervading Life. We learn the joy [or bliss] of sacrifice, for as we joyfully pour ourself forth as part of Life Universal, we truly understand that all Life is One, and that nothing has been lost. (3)

Our very experience affirms the recognition of the group Soul, present and active in our awareness, providing support and stamina. As we meet the challenges that arise during times of collective or individual crisis, we are thereby fortified.

The working disciples throughout the world are struggling with every means at their disposal to spread the gospel of sacrifice, because only upon sacrifice can world stability be safely founded ~ the sacrifice of selfishness. (4)

The present Piscean energies assist in summoning the World Saviour through sacrifice, as we align to this Plan and Purpose.

It is the living Christ (the living world Saviour) Who saves humanity. It is the sacrifice, day by day, in the process of daily living which can save the world … the sacrifice of selfish personal interests for the good of the whole and the giving up of one’s practical life to the salvage of the world. (5)

Our work is based on the writings of the Tibetan Master Djwal Khul as recorded by Alice Bailey. For more information on the writings of Djwal Khul, The Great Invocation, and the New Group of World Servers see:

Please connect with the group soul this Full Moon no matter where you are physically on the planet. Get together with friends and family. You will be glad that you did. Come on over to our place Sunday evening and celebrate with us, or celebrate wherever you are.

“There’s a temple on an island
I think of all the Gods and what they feel
You can only find them in the deepest silence
I got to get off of this big wheel

And I’m a Pisces fish and the river runs through my soul
I’m a Pisces fish and the river runs through my soul

And I’ll be swimming until I can find those waters
That one unbounded ocean of bliss
That’s flowing through your parents, sons and daughters
But still an easy thing for us to miss”

-Saint George Harrison

This is the Tarot Card for Pisces. The entire Spiritual Path is depicted in this Arcana. Can you see it? The human personality finally leaves the primordial waters after millions of years. It enters the Path of Discipleship and the pace immediately quickens. We work our way past the desire-mind and all its entrapments. Then we are ready to climb the peaks in search of the Light. But how do we pass beyond the Veil held in place by the two pillars? What is our personal “Dweller on the Threshold” that we must confront? What planets rule Pisces? Which one entered the sign of Pisces four years ago and what does that mean for Humanity? Kryon says that it is time to recalibrate. Dharmarucci says that it is time for Humanity to collectively dream a new dream. What say you?

In the midst of all the transitions please remember to breathe and know that the Planetary Elders are in charge. Now is a very good time to find the calm center within each of us. There is a plan. It is Light and Love. It is working out – sealing the door where evil dwells. Light and Love and Power are restoring the plan on Earth. So mote it be. And so it is.

Full Moon Group January 23, 2016, Loveland, Colorado

01_Aquarius

The NOCO Full Moon Group will meet at our home on Saturday January 23, 2016 at 6:00 pm. It is a potluck. Rose and David are on Sabbatical and have asked us to host their Full Moon drumming circle through the winter. So we will be combining a round of drumming with the Theosophical/Metaphysical Full Moon Circle format that we hosted for 17 years in the Black Hills of South Dakota.  The actual Full Moon will occur at 6:46 pm Mountain Standard Time Saturday January 23, 2016.  This is the Full moon of Aquarius/Leo:

2016 Aquarius Meditation Theme

Wielding The Electric Fire of Life We Ignite The
Seed Revealing The Synthesis of Life Itself

As aspirants, we now consciously realign with the Divine Plan ~ the unfolding Purpose of the One Life. Through embodiment of the Principle of Decision, we then become steadier in our service expression.

Electric fire manifests as Unity of Spirit and expresses the Will aspect of deity. As Watchers of the Dawn we are called to wield this force by aligning with and directing the incoming flow of energies to reveal the Synthesis of Life Itself. All are valuable in this endeavor.

Direction and Purpose demonstrate Will, for the Principle of Decision guides our choices and actions providing an opportunity to advance goodwill and right human relations.

As each individual unit takes responsibility for applying their highest alignment to Purpose, one’s life becomes the Path, itself. This is an outgrowth of the ongoing sacrifice we make in service to the One.

Our Monadic essence joins with the planetary Hierarchy to approach Shamballa. There is a broadening of inclusiveness, as the bridge from Heart to Head is now emphasized.

The revealed quality of Synthesis relates largely to the Life aspect, that which enlivens all forms. Through our focus in the arenas of manifestation, the Christ consciousness will emerge fully into humankind’s common experience, as is held in anticipation of the Coming One ~ known in world religions by names including Lord Maitreya, Imam Mahdi, Messiah and Kalki Avatar.

In the Aquarian Age, the Risen Christ will bring the water of life to the people ~ life more abundantly. He will not this time demonstrate the perfected life of a Son of God, which was His main mission before; He will appear as the supreme Head of the Spiritual Hierarchy, meeting the need of the thirsty nations of the world ~ thirsty for truth, for right human relations and for loving understanding. (1)

In this light we are reminded that “… synthesis is, whilst unity is achieved and is the reward of action and effort.” (2) As we work with the great Principle of Unanimity, balance occurs in all realms including for the individual, the situation at hand, and the greater group life itself.

One definition of synthesis pertains to our expanding vision in relation to our Purpose ~ “A realisation that synthesis is the method whereby comprehension is attained, and that, by blending the pairs of opposites, the middle path is gained that leads straight to the heart of the citadel.” (3)

Inclusiveness is a pathway to revealing the synthesis that already exists, and offers tremendous potential for overcoming adversity and divisiveness through the practice of Right Human Relations.

We are moving through a pivotal cycle in world events, as has been pointed to by prognosticators from ancient civilizations all the way into present time. Yet in times of upheaval and change, there is great spiritual potential for evolution through enlightened public opinion and the application of Goodwill.

Aquarius orients us further into group alignment, where inclusivity is required in order to find the points of agreement and to strenghthen these. Utilizing the mountaintop vantage point gained in Capricorn we may now ground to the larger perspective, rather than focusing on distracting details.

From the perspective of our planetary life, at this time in evolution we are becoming cognizant of the third Great Approach, “… which will bring the new revelation, with its realised consequences, of a new heaven and a new earth.” (4)

We are Watchers of the Dawn, working with the present time inflow of energies to prepare for and usher in the emerging Aquarian age. All are valuable in this endeavor. By aligning with and directing the incoming flow of energies, we reveal the Synthesis of Life Itself.

Waters of life are we, pouring forth for the thirsty world. (5)

But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as One” ~John Lennon

This is the Tarot Card for Aquarius. The person is unclothed because they have nothing to hide. They stand naked before the world. They are balancing themselves by pouring water on earth and water. People get confused thinking that Aquarius is a water sign. It is not. It is an air sign, grounded in the mental plane. It is known as the “water bearer,” but it actually is an air sign. It is ruled by Saturn and Uranus. What is the significance of the seven stars? What about the bird in the tree?

Welcome to the New Age! We are here. In the midst of all the craziness please remember to breathe and know that the Planetary Elders are in charge. New Moon Solar Eclipse and Vernal Equinox March 2015

People are asking about the New Moon Solar Eclipse and the Vernal Equinox occurring on the same day. It just might be significant, Ya think?

Eclipses always shut down some things and open the door for new things to enter. And of course the Spring Equinox always signals new beginnings as life wakes up from its slumber and starts the cycle of growth everywhere. Our friend Robert Wilkinson has put up several articles on this unusual event. Here is a good place to start:

What does it mean, Clay? It means that good things are headed your way. Just keep a positive attitude and make your intentions known to the universe. This is an extra powerful time to forgive any past negative stuff. As always, start by forgiving yourself first. Remember that we counselors say-“Don’t should on yourself! There is no more time to procrastinate by telling yourself that you are not good enough. Know that you are divine. Here is another blogger that I apologize for not having the source. But the language is a little bit easier to understand:
Wow! In the realm of inner growth, boldly living our dreams and daring to let go of the past, it’s an exciting time, this month of March!
Astrologically speaking, the New Moon Total Solar Eclipse of Friday, March 20th, as well as the Spring Equinox, heralds the end of an era of struggle, sacrifice and limited thinking. For each of us, the eclipse will illuminate that which has been in the darkness, such as a painful pattern, disempowering story, or an addictive habit that has kept you feeling small and unconsciously unworthy of your dreams.
Soon after the eclipse the moon moves into Aries, which gives you the impetus to start anew and begin acting on your heart’s desire.
It’s exciting because the new moon ushers in a new wave of inspired momentum, uplifting us to take the risk to live a more passionate soul-guided life. Let me be specific.
Nineteen years ago in March, a solar eclipse occurred at this same exact point in the zodiac, the very last degree of Pisces, which is also the last sign of the zodiac (hence the ending of an old story or outmoded way of being.) The same theme song of 19 years ago will be playing in your life again, offering you the chance to partner with your soul and say yes to take your life to the next level. This is about stepping forward in unbridled enthusiasm and renewed faith. In short, to believe in yourself!
Travel back in your mind to Spring of 1996. What was going on for you then, either internally or in your outer world? What was the theme of your life? What ended? And where did you experience a brand new beginning?
With the new moon solar eclipse in reflective, watery Pisces, you’re well supported to go into your imagination and let your spirit guide you to the answers to these questions. Be willing to do this inner reflection and you’ll be rewarded with insight. Friday’s eclipse is reawakening the same theme at a new level of growth and opportunity.
In my life in 1996, I had left the law six months earlier and committed to search for a new, passionate career. I was writing travel articles part-time out of my home and caring full time for my daughters, when I restlessly began to yearn for my own home office. I sketched out rough plans for converting our attached carport into a two-story tree house loft office, but with the cost of the remodel, we might as well have demolished the whole house and started from scratch. This began the search for a new home, not knowing where it would lead and how we could financially make it happen.
Still I followed the thread of my dream. Just for fun, I took my girls to open houses and kept dreaming of French doors, birds serenading me outside my many windowed, light-filled work space. I saw myself sipping coffee in my red flowered hand-painted mug, working happily and peacefully in a cathedral-ceiling, beautiful room of my own. I talked to realtors in new construction developments, knowing full well the model homes s were out of our price range. I started to act “as if” it could happen anyway.
Meanwhile, a 2/3 of an acre piece of land came on the market, just three blocks away but on more wooded, secluded and beautiful street called Castle Way. My heart raced at the idea of actually building our own custom-designed home on this gorgeous lot! I only needed a room of my own, but a whole dream house? OMG, I felt ecstatic imagining this pipedream! Practically-speaking, it was impossible though. Even if we could afford to build, which seemed out of the question, we had no funds for a down payment on the lot. Plus seven people had bid on the property!
Still we asked, is there any way we can make this miracle happen? Within a few days, the universe delivered to us a builder who was willing to buy the lot for us in exchange for payment once we secured our construction loan. I got an inspired nudge to write a letter and enclose a family photo exuding our enthusiasm for why they should sell to us. It worked–they chose us out of seven bidders! Thus began a 7-year, highly creative period for me, designing, building and playing in our very own custom home and gardens, all of which began as a tiny spark of desire in my restless heart.
My 1996 solar eclipse theme: free yourself to dream big and then follow the thread of inspired actions! Hold the outcome loosely in your mind … the essence of what you heart wants to feel and experience… and be open to it happening differently that you expected. As you take steps, keep your vision at the forefront.
What is your theme?
Here’s the thing, before we can let our dreams can take flight, we have to let go of the past or whatever is keeping us stuck.

For example, a few days ago, a close relative phoned me. Out of her mouth tumbled her feelings of shock and dismay. “How did I let my life get this bad?!” “Have I been asleep all this time?” And then the kicker, “I can’t even feel sorry for myself because I did this to me! I feel like I deserve the situation I’m in!” As hard as it was to hear her beat herself up, I could also see that the light of clarity was dawning for her. She’d been jolted out of her illusion that everything was alright when in reality, her pattern of perfectionism, anxiety and self-sabotaging procrastination was up for healing. That is, self-loving and compassionate attention, instead of self-whipping. Despite her past unproductive ways, which were now clearly coming to light, SHE is not bad or wrong. She is Love. She is Eternal Goodness. She has come here for a much deeper and more meaningful purpose than “being good” and “getting everything right.”
This new moon eclipse wants to illuminate for each of us the pattern that keeps us in the dark, thinking untrue things about ourselves and sabotaging our creative potential. It wants to bring us back to the empowering truth and reintroduce us to our real authentic selves.
What are your escape tendencies? We all have them–no self-judgment allowed here! The gift of this eclipse time is shining light on where you’re been deluding yourself, been in denial, or fond of escaping. It’s asking you to be honest about your co-dependence-where you see others or anything external as your source of well being. It’s asking you to return to the truth of your soul purpose; to realign with your life mission. To remember that partnering with the Divine is your ticket to “impossible” dreams coming true.
No one wants to feel pain but the way out of it is to move through it. This is where we’re being invited to seek support and not try to do it alone. The era of I can do it myself is over, thank goodness.
For me, theme for my ending is, don’t give my power away! I’m being nudged to be very clear on my heart’s desire and firmly stand up for what I really need. To stop settling and compromising. To look not in the direction of gaining the favor of naysayers, but to point my compass toward my dreams and boldly take action, one baby step at a time.
So I’ll ask you again, what is your ending? As we shed the mucky habits of the old era, we get to move ahead in lightness and joy, shining our lights even brighter! Do this, and I sense that you will be easily guided by your infinite spirit to your spark-filled, new beginning.
*************************************************
I hope this helps. Much Love and Light to all. Clay

On the Road Again, November 2014

Mary Ellen and I are continuing our extended Sabbatical Road Trip. Initially we arrived in Indianapolis on April 16, 2014. The highlight of this first visit was Easter family dinner at Mary Ellen’s sister Susie’s home. Then we headed south, and I mean really south, y’all! Honey child, you ain’t been south until you been down to Sweet Home Alabama! I was born and grew up in Montgomery, Alabama. As a child I learned to say “Save your Confederate money, boys. The South will rise again!” Yes, in the 1950’s people were still saying that. We arrived in Millbrook, Alabama, a suburb of Montgomery on April 22.

After a few days of black eyed purple hull peas, cornbread, and sliced purple onion (Note: They are purple onions, NOT red onions) , we headed even further south to visit my brother Allyn and his family in Chipley, Florida. It is one hour north of Panama City Beach, Florida, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. We stayed in Allyn and Connie’s beach house on Panama City Beach on April 27 and 28.

Then a historic storm and flood hit the Florida Gulf Coast, centering on Pensacola, which is only 80 miles from Panama City. It rained and flooded so hard that Mary Ellen and I had to abandon ship and go hole up in a Super 8 Motel in Panama City for two days before the rain and flooding subsided. But we lived to tell about it.

After an awesome meal at a local seafood restaurant, Dee’s in Vernon, FL, one of Allyn and Connie’s favorite places, we returned to Millbrook. There we traveled to my younger brother Joe’s home in rural Alabama. This photo shows him and his daughter, Linda, with their “snake boots” which are important in their neck of the woods. Cell Phone Pix 127

Don’t mess with my niece, Linda. She knows how to shoot that thing!

Not that we focus on food a lot in Alabama, but we had fresh strawberries on ice cream on Monday, Italian food on Tuesday, Wednesday is my mother’s “Lunch Bunch” group, Thursday we had homemade hamburgers and fries with Joe and Tammie at “Ms. Vickie’s” in Montgomery. Below is a photo of an outing at a Mexican food restaurant with my brother Joe and his wife, my mother, and two of my father’s sisters and one of their husbands.  It meant so much to me to be able to spend time reminiscing with my aunts about when I was a kid.

Mary Ellen and I had a “Civil Rights Day” in Montgomery. We toured the Rosa Parks Museum, which was very well done. 100_9107We also went to the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church where Dr. King was the minister during the Civil Rights years. This was all very significant for me personally, because I had been a teenager in Montgomery in the 1960’s when all this was going on. I am now very happy to report that things have much improved in Alabama since then. On May 17 we went to a free Riverfront Concert on the banks of the Alabama River in downtown Montgomery. The crowd was mixed demographically very well. There were Blacks and Whites interacting well in this relaxed atmosphere. The keyboardist for the Rolling Stones was the headliner. He was smokin!

We really enjoyed celebrating Mother’s Day with my mother in Montgomery.  Here is a photo of us celebrating that day on her screened-in back porch, where we spent so much time while we stayed with her. The weather there was fantastic in April and May, perfect for sitting on the porch and watching the birds.

We left Alabama on May 19 and spent two days with my sister Helen and her husband Bill in Hilham, Tennessee. I dare you to find it on a map. It is right past Rocky Top!

It was great to spend time with them again, and to meet their new granddaughter.

On May 21 we arrived in Indianapolis. On May 24 I got to go with Mary Ellen’s family to the Indianapolis 500 Parade. It was a real highlight for me. I got to see Andrew Luck. If you don’t know who he is ask our son Ethan. 100_9287

It was one of the best parades that I have ever seen. I loved all the classic 1960’s muscle cars and all the official Indianapolis 500 Race Pace Cars. A few weeks later we went to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway itself, and toured the museum where every car that has ever won the race is displayed, as well as other race memorabilia.

On June 2 we spent the day at the Indianapolis Children’s Museum with Mary Ellen’s brother John, his wife Margaret, and his daughter Jenny and her children. It is the largest children’s museum in the country, and is such an incredible resource. There are paleontologists that one can speak to personally in the dinosaur area, and we spent a good deal of time discussing the digs they have been involved with in South Dakota and Wyoming.  While there we were also privileged to see the Terra Cotta Warrior exhibit from China. Cell Phone Pix 466

On June 9 and 10 we went to where Mary Ellen’s mother grew up, in far southern Indiana, a little place called Floyd Knobs, right across the Ohio River from Louisville, Kentucky. In addition to her aunt, we got to spend a good deal of time with Mary Ellen’s counsins. We visited the Falls of the Ohio State Park while we were in the area. The museum there was very educational and detailed how the falls of the Ohio River in the early 1700’s led to the founding of Louisville and communities on the Indiana side of the river.  The river was not navigable at that point so people had to portage around the falls. That led to early trading posts and settlements along the banks of the river. We also walked over the Ohio River on the new walking bridge between Jeffersonville, Indiana and Louisville, Kentucky.  I had been fascinated by the Ohio River when we crossed it because it seemed so magnificent, so we had asked Mary Ellen’s cousin, Ruth Ann, if we could spend some time at the River.  While in the area, we also got to spend some time with extended cousins and other friends whom we had met when they came through South Dakota previously.

While we were in Indianapolis we spent a lot of time visiting other old friends of Mary Ellen’s family as well a lot of time with Mary Ellen’s mom, siblings and their families. We were a big help to her mom with yard work, planting and tending the vegetable and flower gardens, etc.  We left Indianapolis on June 14 to  head west. Back in South Dakota we attended a Sun Dance on the Wild Horse Sanctuary near Hot Springs on June 18. At one point some of the horses came right up to the Sun Dance to acknowledge what we were doing there. Cell Phone Pix 829

On the Summer Solstice we were invited to attend a traditional ceremony at Inyan Kara, which was very special to us.  On June 23 I had the privilege of emceeing the screening of “Running Wild” at the Heartland Film Group, aka now “Alternative Altitudes.” The film is about the Wild Horse Sanctuary and Dayton Hyde, the founder. It was bittersweet for me as this was the last time for us to be at the film group in Rapid City that we had been so involved with for the previous two years.

We spent two months in July and August in Fort Collins, Colorado with our daughter Emily and her husband Aaron, so we could help care for our granddaughter Elsie. 101_0129We loved our time there very much. In addition to all of the quality time we got to spend with Elsie and her parents, we were able to visit Rocky Mountain National Park three times and the foothills outside of Fort Collins on a weekly basis. 101_0020 It is so beautiful there.

This was at Sprague Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park. Not much later after this photo was taken we saw a moose meandering through the lake. He totally ignored the people around that area because after all, that was his drinking hole!

101_0027Another wonderful thing that we did in Colorado was to connect with our friends, David and Rose. They live in a very beautiful area of the foothills of the Rockies. We first met them years ago at the Spiritual Unity of Tribes Gathering of Eagles. Serendipitously a few days after we arrived in Colorado we discovered that they were hosting Full Moon Drumming Circles at their home. So we were able to reconnect with them and attend three Full Moon Gatherings there, meeting many new friends in the area.

We visited the Great Stupa of Dharmakaya on July 19 with our friend Zackoree and then again a few more times before we left Colorado. It is in the mountains outside Fort Collins on the 600 acre Shambhala Mountain Center and is one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world.101_0044  Built by volunteers over a 15-year period, it is dedicated to the Tibetan Buddhist teacher Trungpa Rinpoche, who was one of the first to bring Tibetan Buddhist teachings to the West.

http://www.shambhalamountain.org/

The Shambhala Mountain Center is a wonderful example of what an intentional community can be.  Zackoree reminded Mary Ellen and I that we have been discussing intentional communities for many years.  It may be time now for all of us to take a new serious look at this way of living. The Hopi prophecies years ago reminded us that the time of the lone wolf is over.

At the end of July we returned to the Black Hills so that Mary Ellen could participate in a planning committee meeting for “Gather the Women,” a national organization that brings women together in circle. While she did that our friends Cate and Mark took me on a hike in the incredible Bethlehem Cave area. It is known as the Grand Canyon of South Dakota, and is truly breathtaking.

The next day the women held their monthly new moon circle while I went with Dale Jones and his friends visiting from France to the Moonshine Gulch Saloon, in the big metropolis of Rochford, South Dakota. Our friends Steve Thorpe and Victor Mandan had been playing there during the summer for a couple of years.  Cell Phone Pix 1241On this day there was an unusually large crowd and many more musicians because it was one week before the Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis. Dale played his flute while Steve and Victor sang and played their guitars.

The following Monday we returned to Fort Collins to resume caring for our granddaughter Elsie. Oh yes, and to be with Emily and Aaron, also (grin). On August 1 and 2 we visited our spiritual adopted daughter Avalon in Boulder. It is such a cool place to be. Avalon and Ross took us to an incredible tea house, the amazing metaphysical bookstore and herb shops along the Pearl Street Mall, and we got a personal tour of the main Shambhala Center from a friend. We didn’t want to leave Boulder!

On August 9 we attended another full moon drumming circle at our friends David and Rose’s beautiful off-the-grid straw bale home.  It is led by Suzanne Rouge, a woman who practices alternative healing and follows Lakota traditional ways. She is actively working with using hemp in building construction, and plans to build an intentional community utilizing hempcrete.  The people who show up at the drumming circle are really inspiring.  At that meeting there was a South American shaman who shared some teachings with us, and each time everyone is welcome to share something with the group.

The following week on one of our “days off” from caring for Elsie, we took a 13-hour drive in a big loop through the Rockies and back. From Fort Collins, we went all the way through Rocky Mountain National Park down to Grand Lake, up to Steamboat Springs, and returned to Fort Collins by way of Cameron Pass and Poudre Canyon.

101_0113We certainly have fallen in love with Colorado. Here is Mary Ellen on a path looking for wildflowers to press in Rocky Mountain National Park in mid-August.

On August 18 we attended a phenomenal presentation in Golden, Colorado on crop circles by Patty Greer. It was the monthly topic at the “Paranormal Research Forum.”

Over Labor Day weekend Mary Ellen’s son Ethan and his wife Jessi, and their children Tavin and Teagan came to visit Emily, Aaron, and Elsie in Fort Collins and help celebrate Elsie’s first birthday. Below are Emily, Aaron, and Elsie at the party.

101_0195

Ethan and his family stayed at the house and also went camping by Rocky Mountain National Park and we visited them at their camp site. It rained most of the weekend for them, so we were happy that we had decided not to camp that time.101_0158On September 11 we reluctantly left our granddaughter Elsie in Fort Collins and drove up to Rapid City. We spent September 13 and 14 at the incredible “Unity Concert for the Black Hills.” It was organized by Peter Yarrow, Loretta Afraid of Bear Cook, and many others for the purpose of gaining support for the return of the Black Hills to the Great Sioux Nation as promised in the 1853 Treaty of Fort Laramie. Although the weather was extremely cold, the music and fellowship was absolutely amazing! Mary Ellen and I camped with our very special friends Leroy and Kim Marie Weimer. In addition to many others, we were exposed to two musicians which I want to mention here, Xavier Rudd, and Nahko Bear. We were very impressed with both of them.101_0285 This photo is of Xavier Rudd, an Australian with Aboriginal roots. His music is very inspiring and spiritual. Check out some of the awesome videos here:

On September 21 Mary Ellen attended the “Gather the Women” international women’s gathering in Rapid City, for which she had served all year on the planning committee. It is held in a different city each year, and this year the Rapid City women offered to host the retreat at Terra Sancta. It was a very successful event, and Mary Ellen made many new friends.

A few days later we traveled to Indianapolis to celebrate Mary Ellen’s 60th birthday on September 28 and her mom’s 86th birthday on October 3rd.

Cell Phone Pix 1775

It was very special because Mary Ellen’s two brothers from Hilo, Hawaii, and Portland, Oregon both were able to fly in for the occasion and join her other three siblings and their families who live in Indianapolis. Ethan and his family also drove to Indianapolis for the week. Their daughter Teagan really hit it off with Grandma Rita and the rest of Mary Ellen’s family.  It was the first time for her to meet almost all of them.

101_0412

The following weekend we had a joint celebration for the rest of us having birthdays in October. It was a lot of fun.

The photo below was taken of Mary Ellen and her siblings with their mom that afternoon. From the left are Karen from Indianapolis, Susie from Indianapolis (yes, she did go to Notre Dame, as did their brother who has already passed and their dad), Mary Ellen, Rita, Tom from Hawaii, John from Indianapolis, and Joe from Oregon.

101_0471

Being at her mom’s home has been very special to Mary Ellen, since it is the house where they lived when she was born and she has so many great memories of growing up in this house and neighborhood.

Many more adventures await us as we continue our journey down the road. We will be leaving Indianapolis on November 6th. We’ll be heading back down to the South to spend Thanksgiving with my mom and family. Please leave some comments below in the reply section, if you’d like. Love to all.

On The Road 2014.1

Well Mary Ellen and I are now finally on the road. Today we are in Fort Collins at our daughter’s home. We are enjoying the beautiful weather in Colorado today. Mary Ellen is having a great time playing with our 7 month old granddaughter, Elsie. We left Rapid City on April 9 and spent the night in Lusk, WY at the Covered Wagon Motel. We arrived in Fort Collins, CO on April 10. It snowed in Fort Collins on April 13.

It was very hard to leave all our friends in Rapid City, but we are on to the next phase of our spiritual journey. Next we are headed to Indianapolis. We left for Indianapolis on April 14. I will post some more in another two years. LOL!

BLACK HILLS FULL MOON GROUP SUNDAY JULY 21, 2013

Mercury went direct on July 20, 2013 and will now open up possibilities of very productive activities. During this period we will have the Full Moon of Leo/Aquarius on Monday, July 22nd. The Black Hills Full Moon Group will meet on Sunday, July 21st at 6:30 pm. It will be at our home in Rapid City.

Robert Wilkinson has multiple articles up about Mercury turning direct and this Full Moon at http://www.aquariuspapers.com. He points out that we are being offered an unusual gift from the universe. What does it mean, Clay? Well, after reading Robert’s excellent articles let’s look at the Leo-Aquarius axis of the Full Moon period we are entering.

Leo is about personal sovereignty. Aquarius is about group awareness. “The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.” So how does this Full Moon factor in? People everywhere are waking up to reclaim their personal sovereignty from the Powers that were. By being open to our invisible spiritual helpers our ability to influence the world around us grows exponentially.

It is indeed a revolution, but a peaceful one based on social and economic justice by viewing the entire human race as our family (Mars conjunct Jupiter in Cancer), transforming and retiring the old gerontocracy (Pluto in Capricorn), and new creative thought-forms bursting forth (Uranus in Aries). Notice that “The Powers that be” are now “The Powers that were.” Our spiritual work is shifting up another notch. We are getting more clear about our individual and group service to humanity as our hearts open, and we unplug from the old ways.

It is imperative that all people everywhere on the planet come to understand the wisdom of non-violence. We all need to study again and again Mahatma Gandhi’s teachings of Satyagraha. The god of war (Mars) must be kept in check by the goddess of peace (Venus). I know this is hard, very hard. I know that the people in Syria and elsewhere are not ready to hear it. But bloodshed only begats more bloodshed, as history teaches us. Let us all be open to a higher way, forgiving ourselves first, then forgiving others.

We identify more strongly now with the plan for Mother Earth as she births this new life. The head is now crowning. Can you see it? The Planetary Elders are here to help us. The Great Invocation takes on deeper significance now. Humanity is recognizing that we are all related-Mitakuye Oyasin-All My Relations.

The Goddess herself has now transformed herself through an alchemical process and is more prominent in our awareness. She is stronger than ever and only waits for us to invoke her maternal love for all of creation. Our work is based on the writings of the Tibetan Master Djwal Khul as recorded by Alice Bailey. For more information on the writings of Djwal Khul, The Great Invocation, and the Full Moon Festivals see:
http://www.lucistrust.org/

It is very important to remember that the Full Moon is a Planetary Event! All over the planet thousands of people will be forming circles of prayer, meditation, and light. So please participate no matter where you are on Mother Earth. If there is no group in your area just invite some friends to get together. Break bread. Laugh. Cry.

Remember the children for seven generations to come. What kind of world do you want to leave for them?

Many blessings to all sentient beings.

Clay and Mary Ellen

BLACK HILLS FULL MOON GROUP Sunday June 23, 2013

The Black Hills Full Moon Group will meet at our home on Sunday June 23, 2013 at 6:30 pm. It is a potluck. The actual Full Moon will occur at 5:32 am Mountain Daylight Time Sunday June 23, 2013. This is the Full Moon of Cancer/Capricorn

By definition when the Sun enters the Cardinal Sign of Cancer that is the Summer Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere. It is the longest day and shortest night. It’s the beginning of the Traditional Time of Ceremony for the First Nations People of the Upper Plains in the U.S. There are Sun Dances and other ceremonies going on all in and around the Sacred Black Hills, the Heart of All That Is. Please join us as we offer our prayers for ourselves and for All Our Relations.

Humanity is now dreaming a new dream, further activated by the recent Grand Water Trine anchored by Neptune in Pisces. A wonderful New Day is indeed dawning. Don’t let the temporary chaos bring you down. “Don’t let it bring you down, It’s only castles burning…”

The castles burning are the structures of the old geriatric Patriarchy, symbolized by Pluto in Capricorn. We the 99% are the Uranus in Aries saying “Out with the Old, In with the New.” Time to unplug from the Matrix and see how far down the rabbit hole you can go….

Astrology in June 2013 – In the Heart of the Venus in Cancer T-Square!

by Robert Wilkinson

Yes, we’re in the heart of Venus opposing Pluto and squaring Uranus!….This series of Cardinal T-squares we’ve entered that will last through August is testing whether our sense of proportion or perspective is healthy and balanced (or not), our ability to judge fairly and reasonably, our ability to moderate sources of friction, our ability to be a peacemaker within and without, and our ability to spot superficiality or extreme positions and not get into conflict. It’s the Aquarius decan of Libra, so the sub-theme is to see a bigger balanced picture, to synthesize many different pulses into a harmonious motion, and be as altruistic as possible in our interactions……

…..Venus now gives its own touch of class, beauty, reflection, and interaction to those energies, and will add the theme of “healthy stimulation through play and joy” in our interactions, creativity, relaxation, even if it also lends an air of unreality and fantasy as well. Of course, Venus also rules our interactions with others, and so there could be friction in situations where we’re being confronted by rude people, or those who are out of balance.

Venus opposed Pluto cautions us to be moderate and act on our values when we are around corrosive, dishonest, or obsessive people. This is where if you can’t seem to get results, or find yourself diverted into weird or extreme places that deflect from your original intention, you may need to detach from someone who is draining your energy.

This is testing our ability to see what is true and what is a lie, whether in our understanding or via some relationship, no matter how casual or tight. And it’s probably a good thing to evaluate everything that’s come down the past few days with an eye to finding a newer, more harmonious way of moving through the current currents of the Grand Water Trines….

For the rest of this article and many more about this very critical time of shifting influences for Humanity see  http://www.aquariuspapers.com/astrology/2013/06/astrology-in-june-2013-in-the-heart-of-the-venus-in-cancer-t-square.html

Cancer.8

******************************************************

From our friends at Souledout.org:

Cancer Full Moon Festival

As we work with the new energies flowing through planet Earth in expression of the 2013 Festivals, now in Cancer we each prepare ourself to participate in a higher spiral of the united channel for the Life:

We pursue the rituals that take care of our form, cooperating with the cycle, the ebb and flow of Life. We remember to breathe in, breathe out.

During Cancer we may check in, in present time, and choose wisely, paying attention to the quality of energy that we are expressing.

Also, we remember to develop what is fun in the life. All this has a ripple effect in the world.

We express our truth with love and respect, and this inspires creative solutions and fosters peace.

Each may ask, how sacred is my life? What is my service, how do I serve the One Life?

We strive for consistency in our spiritual and physical plane practice.

Approaching our spiritual practice in a rhythmic manner brings integration in support of the full expression of the Purpose of both the individual and group soul.

Every person in the Holy Grail ~ the Sacred Chalice, planet Earth’s Light Grid ~ participates in the distribution of the Life and in turn restores the Divine Plan on Earth. Each one is uniquely responsible for this restoration. As the Life enters and flows through all individuals and their world, it makes the whole world sacred.

At the June solstice, occurring as we enter the sign Cancer, the Sun is directly opposite the winter solstice when the 2012 New Group of World Servers Festival began. This brings further opportunity to work with present time energies following this significant festival, occurring only once every seven years.

Cancer relates to creation on the physical plane. Its ultimate result is the manifestation of the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth ~ the Sacred Form. The Life enters and flows through all individuals and into our world, and eventually this makes the whole planet sacred.

The evolutionary path concerns the liberation of matter in alignment to Divine Purpose, and this requires the orientation to be maintained on the level of higher mind, or Soul.

In doing so, we become increasingly conscious of the choices we make, where we put our energies and what we are manifesting.

We embrace the vast significance of our relationship to Love ~ all the way from the atom to the infinite!

As we identify with Cosmic Love, we participate in bringing forward Humanity’s Divine Destiny …

A Destiny known within our consciousness and prophesied by the Ancient Wisdom …

A Destiny far greater than many of us have previously imagined …

Where the Earth becomes a magnetic center, a station of light, a point of great radiance and vitality, beaming out into the universe!

Please connect with the group soul this Full Moon no matter where you are physically on the planet. Get together with friends and family. You will be glad that you did. Come on over to our place Sunday evening and celebrate with us, or celebrate wherever you are.

In the midst of all the transitions please remember to breathe and know that the Planetary Elders are in charge. Now is a Cancer.7very good time to find the calm center within each of us. There is a plan. It is Light and Love. It is working out – sealing the door where evil dwells. Light and Love and Power are restoring the plan on Earth. So mote it be. And so it is.
